George & Shirley Kline Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

The George & Shirley Kline Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Shirley Kline, former owner of Kline’s Department Store, in Chicago Heights, IL. Mrs. Kline also spent 20 years as a board member for the Prairie State College Foundation, which has awarded scholarships to students in need of tuition and textbook assistance. She also was a board member for Aunt Martha’s Youth Service Center, a south suburban agency that provides services for poor teenagers and families. Mrs. Kline volunteered every week for 10 years at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights.
